Knox Shoot

July 15th, 2010 rob

There are days when we just simply love what we do and this was no exception. Nzime gave us the opportunity to explore a new method of photography for Knox, who specialise in the design and manufacture of impact protection gear. We soon worked out that in order to achieve the dramatic concept, we would have to mount the camera on the side of the car to get the desired effect. We had to trigger the camera remotely while travelling at 100mph down a runway with the motorcycle tucked in closely behind us. It wasn’t fun at all. Honest. We owe a massive thanks to Jason at Calumet in Nottingham for sourcing and supplying us with a Manfrotto suction clamp, radio trigger and Profoto location lighting. And the driver….well, Andrew Horner-Glister, Director of Nzime, not only art directed, but also rode the super bike KTM 1190 RCB R for the shoot. If you run into him, without his helmet on, be sure to ask about the budget Top Gun video we created for him afterwards.
